Juju Fitcats Expands Her Horizons

On Tuesday, August 19, Justine Becattini, better known by her alias Juju Fitcats, ventured into acting on camera for “New Day.” Since 2023, the fitness influencer, known for her sports and wellness content, has also appeared on television, becoming a host on M6 after winning The Traitors. She went on to host the second part of the show France’s Got Incredible Talent, as well as the third season of The Traitors and 99 to Beat.

It was expected that she would play herself in “New Day,” but the producers assigned her a fictional role. She played Deborah, a love coach who assists Pablo, Marin’s brother, who has fallen for Bonnie, one of the coaches at Fit34 gym. Pablo is overwhelmed by his first crush, becoming clumsy and tongue-tied around her.

Pablo is awkward but well-meaning. However, his efforts do not win over Bonnie, who sees him more like a little brother than a potential partner. Eventually, Pablo philosophically accepts that his feelings are unrequited.

Is This a Final Farewell?

Episode 39, aired on Thursday, August 21, marks Deborah’s departure as she catches a train to leave. As she bids farewell to Camille and Pablo, he tells her, “you’ve gained an Insta follower”. Deborah responds, “Social media isn’t really my thing. But maybe I should give it a try; it could work out”. This line is a nod to the social media star who boasts millions of followers.

Is this a way to keep her character’s options open? For now, it’s unclear if the web video creator will return to “New Day.” She certainly has a busy schedule.

As she revealed to our colleagues at Gala, her busy TV schedule initially prevented her from taking on a more recurring role on the M6 soap opera: “When I was approached at the beginning of the year, it was for a different, more recurring role in the series. But now I have many shows on M6 that require my time, and it’s not close since I’m in Biarritz and the shooting is in Montpellier. The audition went well, I got the part, but then we decided I would play a different character to start with less filming time.”

One thing is certain, the host and now actress thoroughly enjoyed the experience: “I really found it quite cool. From my side, the trial is approved, but now, I’ve seen that the series producers are also happy. I hope the viewers are satisfied too… Fingers crossed!”

Who knows, maybe Deborah will cross paths with Pablo again? While we wait to see her (possibly) return in “New Day” – airing Monday to Friday on M6 at 8:40 PM – Juju Fitcats continues to host 99 to Beat every Thursday at 9:10 PM on M6, before returning as host for the fifth season of The Traitors on September 2, still on M6.
