Almost a year since its premiere, “River Brigade” is back on France 3! And it’s clear our heroes are diving into a disturbing new case, as they find the lifeless bodies of an art critic and a gallery owner aboard a traditional Loire riverboat, known as a toue cabanée.

A New Case for the River Brigade

Upon their arrival, the scene is grim—both victims were forced to ingest a large amount of paint. But who could have committed such a brutal double murder? Initially, the investigation leads to the art critic’s wife, but our favorite squad will soon realize that the case is more intricate than it seems.

Meanwhile, Katia (played by Roxane Turmel) is still hiding a significant secret that could potentially destroy her. Thankfully, her team is there to support her when everything could change. However, she’s not the only one facing tough times. Samuel is deeply troubled by recent events involving Judge Lucie (Jeanne Bournaud), who is pregnant with their possible child.

Married for 15 years to another man, Samuel suffers watching Lucie pull away and starts drinking excessively. Aware that he can’t continue this way, Sam decides to request a transfer, a decision that his teammates, especially Camille (Ibrahim Koma), find difficult to accept.

Is Samuel Really Leaving the River Police?

His colleagues do everything they can to persuade him to stay. However, this latest episode concludes without revealing whether Samuel will remain with the river police. In a statement to AlloCiné, France Télévision confirmed that Roby Schinasi will definitely return for more episodes of this new crime series.

Filming for the third installment of “River Brigade” took place in late September, and the actor from “Tomorrow is Ours” was indeed present. This gives fans hope that Samuel and Lucie might reunite very soon!
