Heather Tom Struggles with French for ‘Les Mystères de l’amour’ Role!

When Los Angeles meets Paris, it happens on “The Mysteries of Love” this Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 8 PM on TMC! As previously reported by AlloCiné, actress Heather Tom, known from “The Bold and the Beautiful” (find out how to watch the new episodes!), resumes her role as Katie Logan in the French series starring Hélène Rollès and Elsa Esnoult.

“The Bold and the Beautiful” Visits “The Mysteries of Love”

In fact, it’s with Elsa Esnoult that the American shares her scenes, as we saw in last week’s episode… During her visit to Monaco for the Monte-Carlo Television Festival 2025, Heather Tom spoke to us about her participation in “The Mysteries of Love.”

At the time, she discussed her preparation and shared her mindset just before filming, caught between excitement and nervousness: “I’m really excited to act in ‘The Mysteries of Love.’ I’m also quite nervous because I’ve committed to performing in French,” the star revealed.

“I have four scenes, three of which are in your language. For the last one, I felt it was too much for me to memorize (laughs) I didn’t expect it! At first, I thought, ‘It’s just a few lines.’ But then I saw there were eleven pages of dialogue! So, I’ve been working very, very hard,” Heather Tom explained to us.

“I have some basics in French since I took classes in high school,” Heather Tom disclosed to AlloCiné. “However, when I was practicing my lines with my teachers, I realized that every word I thought I knew how to pronounce, I actually didn’t! I’ve been mispronouncing them all my life (laughs)”

“For example, the word ‘parler’ with the letter ‘R’ in the middle… It’s tough to say! The letter ‘R’ has officially become my most hated letter! Despite this, I’ve been working hard as I told you, and I know my lines, I’m excited to appear in ‘The Mysteries of Love.’ It’s a challenge, wish me luck,” the actress from “The Bold and the Beautiful” joked.

Finally, Heather Tom reflected on her collaboration with Elsa Esnoult, showering her with praise: “She’s delightful and so funny! She acted in ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ entirely in English, and that’s when I thought I should do the same, by acting in French in ‘The Mysteries of Love.’ It seemed only fair (laughs) She definitely nailed it.”
