Bad news for fans of “Section de Recherches”! The episode aired in October 2025 might just be the last one in the series!
After two decades of dedicated broadcasting, “Section de Recherches” may finally be coming to an end. First launched in 2006, the show starring Xavier Deluc has been a huge hit, and even as it ended, TF1 decided to extend the life of the franchise by producing special episodes.
Special Episodes of “Section de Recherches” Filmed in Exotic Locations
This was a way to keep the beloved characters of the series alive in the viewers’ hearts. Fans were treated to episodes featuring Martin, Lucas (Franck Sémonin), and Jeanne (Fabienne Carat) on adventures in exotic locales such as La Réunion, a cruise ship, and finally in the mountains, with the last installment airing in October. These stunning settings captivated thousands of viewers.
However, since then, there appears to be no plans for further productions. Despite good ratings and Xavier Deluc’s hopeful comments to Télé-Loisirs about a potential shoot in Corsica in the spring of 2026, nothing has materialized.
No New Shoots Planned for “Section de Recherches” in 2026
All hopes were dashed when the official account of the “Section de Recherches” actors announced that the series was definitely ending. Télé-Loisirs has just confirmed this disappointing news. No episodes will be filmed this year, and it looks like it might be a permanent decision.
This announcement is sure to break the hearts of many loyal fans! However, there remains a slim chance that the franchise could be revived in the future. In the meantime, you can watch or rewatch all the episodes of the crime drama for free on the TF1+ platform!
