Friday the 17th in Un si grand soleil…

Johanna and Guillaume Find Common Ground

Guillaume and Johanna spent the night together. In the early morning, Johanna appears quite contemplative. Guillaume kisses her and then asks her out for a drink. Clearly uncomfortable, Johanna hesitates for a while before agreeing.

Upon arriving at work, Guillaume is noticeably in a good mood, which does not go unnoticed by Inès.

Meanwhile, Johanna opens up to Sabine about her night with Guillaume. Although she enjoyed her evening, she finds it odd to wake up next to someone other than Yann. She also admits to feeling particularly unsettled. Sabine then tries to reassure her.

On her part, Inès meets Margot at the BGL office to work on one of Guillaume’s cases. At the end of the meeting, she runs into Florent who is delighted to see her again.

Later, Inès meets up with Gary and Enric for dinner. It’s clear that Inès is thrilled to reunite with her two fathers after three years of studying abroad.

At the same time, Johanna meets up with Guillaume in town. She gathers her courage to tell him how she truly feels: “I really had a great time last night, and this night too. But I just got separated, I’m going through a divorce and…” Guillaume immediately interrupts her, confessing that he isn’t particularly looking to be in a relationship either. They both agree to enjoy their time together without any serious commitments.

Guillaume then takes Johanna to a pub to play foosball. The mood is cheerful and both Johanna and Guillaume show great camaraderie. At the end of the night, Johanna kisses Guillaume before heading home alone.

Nathalie’s Past Resurfaces

Marc’s article breaks all records online. Yet, no one has reacted to the accompanying photograph. The journalist hopes that the release of the print edition will make a difference.

Meanwhile, Thierry discovers that in 1974, a gunsmith reported selling a Category C rifle to a certain Didier Beaulieu, the father of Jeanne and Henri. Since everything suggests that the weapon was never resold, the officer believes that Jeanne and Henri still possess it and have used it to shoot Dimitri.

Therefore, Jeanne and Henri are summoned to the police station. Naturally, they try to convince Thierry that the rifle was sold. Unsuccessfully. The officer wants to search their home, but Jeanne categorically refuses to let him step foot inside without a judge’s authorization.

On the way back home, Henri confides to his sister that he wants to get rid of the rifle, but she strongly opposes it. Indeed, Jeanne is convinced that the justice system has better things to do than deal with a simple suspicion of weapon concealment from people their age. “The problem is the film’s photo in the newspaper. If she sees it, we’re doomed,” she concludes.

As night falls, Lucas, Nathalie, and Emma dine together for the young woman’s birthday. Lucas then gives his partner the vintage lamp that Alix found for him. The item is wrapped in newspaper. When Nathalie sees the picture from Marc’s article in the Midi Libre, she drops her champagne glass. And for good reason, the woman in the photo is none other than her mother.
