Spider-Man 4’s Stunning First Action Sequence Revealed!

With just over two months until the release of the new “Spider-Man” movie, Marvel and Sony have recently shared a behind-the-scenes video featuring new footage from the film’s impressive opening sequence.

On July 29, Spider-Man enthusiasts will once again enjoy their favorite superhero on the big screen, five years following “No Way Home”. Released on March 18, the trailer for this fourth installment broke records by becoming the most viewed within a single day and was the first to hit one billion views.

Filming in Public and Outdoors

It’s an understatement to say that the film directed by Destin Daniel Cretton is highly anticipated by MCU fans who will be thrilled to see new footage in a video released yesterday. This video reveals the behind-the-scenes of the first action sequence shot on the streets in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

In addition to this featurette, which clearly shows that the blockbuster wasn’t entirely shot against a green screen and highlights the live stunts without special effects, a new movie poster has also been unveiled.

To recap, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” picks up nine months after the ending of the previous episode where Peter Parker’s existence was erased from everyone’s memory. A time jump then takes us four years forward as the hero battles crime in a New York City that no longer recognizes him. While he dedicates himself to protecting the city, the pressure begins to cause a surprising physical transformation that threatens his very existence…

Tom Holland naturally returns to don the Spider-Man suit, and the film also sees the return of Zendaya (MJ) and Jacob Batalon (Ned), along with other MCU stars like Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner) and Jon Bernthal (the Punisher, recently featured in his own film on Disney+). Finally, it’s worth noting that Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) joins the cast in a yet undisclosed role.
