Taylor Sheridan’s Action Series Rated 4.1/5 Makes a Thrilling Comeback Soon!

Alongside his series Yellowstone, Tulsa King, 1883, 1923, and Mayor of Kingstone, screenwriter Taylor Sheridan, who apparently had some spare time, launched the action series Special Operations: Lioness in 2023, featuring now Oscar-winning actress Zoe Saldaña.

After two epic seasons filled with twists and turns, and while the creator is busy working on his new series Dutton Ranch, Landman, The Madison, and Marshals, Paramount+ has unveiled the explosive trailer for the third season of Lioness, which will soon be available on the platform!

What’s it about?

Cruz Manuelos is a somewhat rough soldier from the Marine Corps. She is recruited to join “Lioness,” a CIA secret program overseen by Kaitlyn Meade, created to dismantle a major terrorist attack reminiscent of the September 11, 2001 attacks. Cruz is trained by the station chief, Joe (Zoe Saldaña), who teaches her and other women to become undercover agents: lionesses.

Who’s in the cast?

This third season of Lioness marks the return of Zoe Saldaña in the lead role, as well as actress Nicole Kidman as Kaitlyn Meade and the brilliant Morgan Freeman as the Secretary of Defense. Alongside them, the series will prominently feature actor Michael Kelly, who plays a mysterious and particularly important character in the continuation of the story: Westfield. We’ll keep the rest of the casting a surprise!

When does Season 3 of Lioness release?

The series, whose first images promise it will be more explosive than ever, will be aired weekly on Paramount+ starting Sunday, August 2, 2026.
