Vin Diesel Claims ‘Fast Forever’ Script is the Best He’s Ever Read – Tears Up!

For over 25 years, Vin Diesel has portrayed Dominic Toretto in the Fast and Furious series (appearing in every film except the second). His first appearance dates back to 2001 in the first film. So, when it comes to the storyline, Vin Diesel knows them inside out. He suggests that the upcoming sequel, titled Fast Forever and directed by Louis Leterrier (Now You See Me), is by far the best yet.

Vin Diesel is already enamored with the script for Fast Forever, the eleventh and final chapter of the successful franchise. The 59-year-old actor promises a finale as emotional as it is unexpected, hinting at a return to the series’ roots as desired by actor Sung Kang, who reminisces about the earlier films.

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, Vin Diesel announced to his Instagram followers that he had finally read the screenplay by Michael Lesslie — the writer behind Assassin’s Creed — and the result surpassed his expectations, as he shared: “This is the best script I’ve read in decades. I’m still crying.“

Along with this post, the actor shared some images from the first Fast and Furious with the late Paul Walker, who died on November 30, 2013, in a car accident. In the caption, Vin Diesel also wrote: “You have no idea. When March 17, 2028, comes around… you’ll thank the heavens you saw the first film in theaters this summer.” This certainly piques the interest of longtime fans. It remains to be seen if Cristiano Ronaldo will be part of this Fast Forever cast, as Vin Diesel hopes!

Louis Leterrier is Clueless About What the Finale Holds

Unlike Vin Diesel, Louis Leterrier hasn’t yet read the script for his own movie! Last Monday, August 3, in an interview with journalists from Polygon, the French filmmaker admitted: “I’m finishing up another film (…) I’d love to tell you everything, but I can’t. There will be an ending, and it’s fantastic (…) So yes. We’ll see.“

Leterrier also expressed his excitement about joining the grand Fast and Furious adventure, especially since he has the privilege of wrapping it up, as he explained: “I’ve been incredibly fortunate to be part of this franchise, and I love Vin and Universal. It’s a pleasure to work with them.” A finale that promises to be surprising indeed!
