Tragically lost in 2013 at the age of 40, American actor Paul Walker left behind millions of fans. But in which feature film did he appear for the last time?
Paul Walker became a global sensation in 2001 as the undercover cop Brian O’Conner opposite Vin Diesel in the first installment of the highly successful Fast & Furious saga. The American actor reprised his role in five more films of the high-octane Hollywood franchise.
A Cornerstone of the Fast & Furious Saga
A pivotal figure for all F&F enthusiasts, Paul Walker also starred in the fantasy film Pleasantville and the action movies Into the Blue and Takers. While it seemed his career was still on the rise, his life was tragically cut short in November 2013 at age 40, when he was a passenger in a Porsche speeding excessively and crashed.
Had he not passed away that day, Paul Walker would undoubtedly have continued to feature alongside Vin Diesel in the Fast & Furious series, which is currently preparing its 11th installment. But what was the last movie in which he was seen on the silver screen?
Paul Walker’s Final Two Films
A few months after his death, Paul Walker appeared posthumously in the 2014 action film Brick Mansions, a remake of the French movie District 13. However, as many fans of the saga would know, it was a year later in the seventh installment of Fast & Furious, which he had not finished filming at the time of his accident, that audiences truly bid farewell to the actor.
Partially rewritten following Walker’s death, who still had several major scenes to shoot, the film transformed into a heartfelt tribute to the late actor. The end-credits song performed by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth, titled See You Again, was written especially for him.
Regarding the missing scenes that directly involved him, they were eventually shot with the help of Caleb and Cody Walker, Paul’s brothers, who stood in for him before their faces were digitally altered to match his.
