Leslie Bibb tapped into the reality TV realm for her role in the third season of “The White Lotus.” Portraying Kate Bohr, a Texas housewife vacationing in Thailand with two of her closest friends, Bibb disclosed to Deadline that she regularly watched “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” before filming her scenes:

I would always watch The Real Housewives before scenes. Sometimes it was just to see what stuck. It might sound crazy, but I don’t even know what sticks.

She mentioned that the dynamics on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” particularly resonated with her character, and added that there might have been a touch of “Real Housewives of Orange County” in her portrayal. This revelation shows how reality TV can shape the portrayal of a character in a dramatic series, even if it seems a bit unconventional.

A Request from Mike White

Her co-star Jason Isaacs, who plays the patriarch Timothy Ratliff, shared that Mike White had encouraged the entire cast to watch “Southern Charm,” another reality TV show. He revealed that certain “characters” from the reality series inspired his accent for the role.
