Explore the trailer for Alice Winocour’s “Coutures,” featuring the intersecting lives of three women (Angelina Jolie, Anyier Anei, Ella Rumpf) during Paris Fashion Week. The film is set to premiere in theaters on February 18, 2026.
A year after her role in the film Maria, Angelina Jolie stars in a significant new role in Coutures, a movie that portrays the intersecting paths of three women during Paris Fashion Week.
In the movie, Angelina Jolie, who performs some of her role in French, plays Maxine, an American filmmaker. She receives life-altering news and meets Ada (Anyier Anei), a young model from South Sudan who left her country, and Angèle (Ella Rumpf), a French makeup artist yearning for a different life.
A Composite Portrait of Three Women
Between these three women from vastly different backgrounds, an unexpected solidarity emerges. Beneath the glamorous façade, a silent rebellion unfolds: that of women, each in their own way, mending the threads of their personal narratives.

Alongside Angelina Jolie, Anyier Anei, and Ella Rumpf, the cast also includes Louis Garrel, Garance Marillier, and features Aurore Clément and Vincent Lindon.
From the Director of Revoir Paris
It’s worth noting that Angelina Jolie has previously worked in France on a film she directed herself, By the Sea (2015), which featured a partly French cast including Mélanie Laurent and Melvil Poupaud. Pablo Larrain’s film Maria was also partly filmed in France.
Director Alice Winocour has previously directed four feature films, including Proxima starring Eva Green and more recently, Revoir Paris with Virginie Efira.
Coutures has been featured in several festivals, including at San Sebastian.
