Astérix and Obélix Battle of the Chiefs Hits Netflix: Meet the Star-Studded Voice Cast!

In the animated mini-series “Asterix and Obelix: The Battle of the Chiefs,” Netflix and Alain Chabat have assembled a particularly diverse voice cast. Recognizing who’s behind each character is a delightful challenge.

A Gallo-Roman tidal wave has recently swept through France with the release of “Asterix and Obelix: The Battle of the Chiefs.” Topping Netflix’s top 10 and scoring a 4.3 out of 5 from viewers on AlloCiné, this animated mini-series seems to have won everyone over – ourselves included.

While we were captivated by the quality of the animation, the perfectly balanced humor, and all the clever references, one of the highlights of The Battle of the Chiefs is its voice cast. Alain Chabat has gathered a group of familiar faces to voice the series’ characters, from the staples – Asterix, Obelix, Getafix – to those freshly conjured by the team’s imagination.

Who Voices Whom in The Battle of the Chiefs! Revealing the Cast in Pictures

It’s not easy to identify all the voices in “Asterix and Obelix: The Battle of the Chiefs” on Netflix, given the multitude of characters. While it’s relatively easy to pinpoint Chabat as Asterix or Gilles Lellouche as Obelix (who previously portrayed this character in a live-action film), we had a good laugh finding out that the mischievous Jérôme Commandeur voices Caesar’s mother and the sports commentator, reminiscent of Vincent Moscato.

In the video below, we’ve compiled the voice cast of the animated series, and as you’ll see, there are a few surprises:

Alain Chabat didn’t hesitate to call upon actors who appeared in “Mission Cleopatra,” his iconic film, such as Gérard Darmon, Chantal Lauby, and Jamel Debbouze, who all make cameo appearances.
