If you first saw Yerin Ha (Sophie) in Season 4 of “Bridgerton,” you might not know she was the lead in a Netflix series released just last year.
Bridgerton has made a triumphant return to Netflix with its fourth season, this time focusing on the family’s second youngest, Benedict. Known for his carefree, bohemian lifestyle, Benedict never thought he’d settle down. However, driven by his mother’s urging and a pivotal encounter, he decides to give love a chance.
While in search of the woman who has haunted his dreams since a masked ball, the young artist meets Sophie, a well-educated maid with irresistible charm. Unbeknownst to him, she is the very woman he’s been dreaming of.
Yerin Ha Takes the Lead
We must admit, we’ve fallen for both Sophie and her actress, Yerin Ha. This 28-year-old Australian of Korean descent has landed her first major TV role with Bridgerton. After this, it’s clear we’ll be seeing a lot more of her on both the small and big screen.
Yerin Ha’s acting career, which spans less than a decade, began in her native country, featuring in shows like “Reef Break” alongside Poppy Montgomery. She’s no stranger to major franchises, having appeared in “Halo” and “Dune: Prophecy.”
Shortly after, Yerin Ha joined two Netflix productions: Bridgerton, where she stars in Season 4 opposite Luke Thompson, and “The Survivors,” released last year on the platform. She plays the lead role in this six-episode crime thriller, which is summarized as follows:
In a coastal town in Tasmania, the murder of a woman brings to light events that occurred 15 years earlier.
Based on Jane Harper’s 2020 novel, “The Survivors” combines investigation, twists, murders, traumatized characters, family secrets, and settings as dangerous as they are idyllic. On AlloCiné, where it scores 3.4 out of 5, subscribers describe it as a classic but particularly effective thriller. It’s certainly a chance to see Yerin Ha in a different light.
Both Bridgerton and The Survivors are available on Netflix.
