Clint Eastwood’s Final Movie Airs Tonight on TV – Don’t Miss Out!

Tonight, Canal+ is airing “Juror #2,” the final film directed by Clint Eastwood as he officially retires from filmmaking. It’s a must-watch for movie enthusiasts.

It’s time for Clint Eastwood to call it a day. Yet, before stepping away from the film industry for good, the 94-year-old director has delivered one last movie, which is now available to Canal+ subscribers.

Released last year, “Juror #2” follows a man (played by Nicolas Hoult) who finds himself serving on a jury for a murder trial only to discover that he is the perpetrator of the crime. He faces a moral quandary: should he protect himself or confess?

Flawed Heroes

It’s no surprise that Clint Eastwood was drawn to Jonathan Abrams’ screenplay, which portrays a flawed hero caught in a moral dilemma: should he tell the truth and risk losing everything dear to him or let an innocent man (played by Gabriel Basso) take the fall?

This theme is a staple in Eastwood’s films (such as “Gran Torino,” “Sully,” “Million Dollar Baby”). With his understated direction and a deliberate pace that highlights his actors’ performances, Eastwood explores these moral ambiguities without ever being simplistic. He also examines the boundaries of justice. In “Juror #2,” the open ending allows viewers to form their own judgments.

A Quiet Farewell?

For his 42nd and final film, Clint Eastwood has, let’s say, exited quietly. Originally, “Juror #2” was meant to be released directly to streaming platforms, before Warner Bros decided to reverse course and distribute it in select cinemas in the U.S. and abroad.

The film found its largest audience in France, drawing nearly 1.6 million viewers to theaters. Although it earned a respectable rating of 3.9 out of 5, it may not be Eastwood’s finest work. Nevertheless, “Juror #2” is still a solid film, and the performances by its cast—Toni Collette, J.K. Simmons, and Hoult in particular—are well worth watching.
