As the highly anticipated “Masters of the Universe” movie is underway, early snapshots from the set reveal glimpses of He-Man and the heroine Teela.
Great news for fans of the eighties: the latest film adaptation of “Masters of the Universe” is currently being filmed in London, showcasing early looks at He-Man – portrayed by Nicholas Galitzine – and Teela – played by Camila Mendes, known from Riverdale.
The actor isn’t wearing his character’s iconic costume but is seen in a simple pink shirt, confirming speculations that He-Man was sent to Earth at a young age for his safety.
Now an adult, He-Man is summoned back to Eternia to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor and to uncover the secrets of his own past.
As for Teela, her costume appears to stay true to the original animated series, adorned in white and gold hues.
An initial official visual released last April provided a tease of He-Man’s look in the movie:
Joining Nicholas Galitzine and Camila Mendes in the cast are Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, and Jared Leto portraying the antagonist, Skeletor.
At the helm of this major blockbusters set for release in 2026, director Travis Knight, known for his work on “Bumblebee” and “Kubo and the Two Strings,” is in charge.
“Masters of the Universe,” hitting theaters in the summer of 2026 in France.
