Is Deadpool Joining the Next Avengers? Ryan Reynolds Sparks Rumors!

Until now, whether Deadpool would appear in the upcoming “Avengers” was a mystery, but Ryan Reynolds just posted an image that might confirm his inclusion.

Following the huge success of the Deadpool movies, especially the latest installment where he teams up with Wolverine to save their world, it’s been expected that we’d see the talkative Mercenary in a Marvel production again, and that time might be coming sooner than anticipated.

Although Ryan Reynolds wasn’t initially listed among the cast for “Avengers: Doomsday” when filming started this past March, a new clue suggests he might actually appear in the Russo brothers’ film. This speculation stems from an image the actor shared on Instagram showing the Avengers logo overlaid with a red Anarchy ‘A’ (a symbol also featured in “Deadpool & Wolverine”).

Reynolds, known for teasing his fans, did not include a caption with the image, but that didn’t stop the internet from taking it as a sign that he will indeed be in the next Avengers film, which is still in production and set for a December 16, 2026 release.

Fact or Fiction?

Of course, it’s possible that Reynolds is just joking or teasing another project. For instance, he might return in “Avengers: Secret Wars” set for 2027. One thing is certain: the actor is completely open to appearing in one of these films. In a December interview with the Hollywood Reporter, he said:

I think Deadpool works really well alongside the X-Men and Avengers, but he should always remain an outsider. His ultimate dream is to be accepted and appreciated.

He added that while he’s in favor of Wade Wilson mingling with other Marvel heroes, he doesn’t want him to officially join a team: “But he can’t be accepted. His defense mechanism of using humor to deflect shame only works when it serves to mask his many shortcomings. If he becomes an Avenger or an X-Man, that would be the end of his journey.

It’s worth noting that several actors from the previous generation of X-Men, including Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique), James Marsden (Cyclops), and Kelsey Grammer (Beast) are indeed in “Avengers: Doomsday.” Channing Tatum, who made his long-awaited debut in the MCU in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” has also been confirmed in the cast.

Thus, it would make complete sense for Ryan Reynolds to be involved. Now, all eyes are on Hugh Jackman to see if the team will be fully reunited! Stay tuned for updates.
