Jean Dujardin stars in the remake of “The Shrinking Man,” directed by Jan Kounen (“99 Francs”, “Dobermann”). Check out the trailer for the film, releasing on October 29.

This fall promises a cinematic event with “The Shrinking Man,” featuring Jean Dujardin in the lead role. In this film, the actor undergoes a dramatic transformation from 6 feet tall to just under half an inch!

The movie is a new adaptation of Richard Matheson’s science fiction novel, which was previously made into a classic film by Jack Arnold in 1957.

Watch the trailer that blends intimate drama, adventure, and science fiction:

Paul, an ordinary man, balances his life between his shipbuilding business, his wife Elise, and their daughter Mia. During a sea outing, Paul encounters an unexplained meteorological phenomenon.

From that moment, Paul begins to shrink inexorably, with science unable to explain or aid his condition. When he accidentally becomes trapped in his own basement, now only a few inches tall, he must fight to survive in what has become a perilous environment.

This will be the second time Jean Dujardin shrinks for a film role, following the romantic comedy “Up for Love” by Laurent Tirard, released in 2016.

Reuniting with the Director of “99 Francs”

16 years after the film adaptation of Frédéric Beigbeder’s book, “99 Francs,” Jean Dujardin and director Jan Kounen reunite. This feature film marks Jan Kounen’s return to cinema 5 years after “My Cousin” with Vincent Lindon and François Damiens.
