Season 3 of Validé kicks off this Monday, November 17, on CANAL+. But who are D2L and Yadley, the two rappers in this new batch of episodes?
French rap continues to excite us!
Four years after season 2, Validé, created by Franck Gastambide, is making its return to CANAL+ this Monday, November 17, with a fresh set of episodes.
New Season, New Group Amidst Ego Wars
While Saïdou Camara, Brahim Bouhlel, Franck Gastambide, and Adel Bencherif are making a comeback, these new episodes will shift away from the storyline of L’Alpha, the rapper portrayed by Laetitia Kerfa in season 2.
This season introduces Zak and Salif, two rappers played by Delil Ozhan, known as “D2L”, and Heardley Stinvil, also known as “Yadley”.
In this season, William and Brahim have turned Apash Music into a real success, and the label has just signed the latest music sensation: the group Cobra, led by Zak and Salif, a duo of young rappers ready to make their mark in the industry.
Despite this success, the stability of the label remains precarious. With accusations of fraud and the resurgence of old demons, Apash Music might even face closure. And when an ego clash erupts between their two new stars, William and Brahim will struggle to contain the inevitable surge of violence…
Who are Yadley and D2L, the rappers of Validé Season 3?
Originally from Créteil, Yadley got into rap at the age of 15 and made a name for himself through a series of freestyles. In 2022, he released the project Comme le vin, followed by Aurum Ferre in 2024. Influenced by Booba, La Fouine, Sniper, Ninho, and Damso, this young artist now boasts over 33,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
On screen, he portrays Salif, a small-time crook obsessed with money. Ambitious and driven by his outsized ego, his betrayals will plunge him into a limitless war, threatening his relationship with Zak and the stability of their group, Cobra.
D2L, on the other hand, discovered his passion for rap at 13 during a writing workshop at a youth center. Inspired by Ninho, Maes, PNL, SCH, and Booba, he has carved out a unique niche for himself. With over 25,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, D2L is also emerging as a rising star in French rap.
In the series, he plays Zak, a former football prodigy whose career was abruptly cut short. His second chance lies in rap with Cobra. However, the betrayals and tensions in this ruthless environment will force him to undergo a profound transformation in hopes of achieving his dream.
