The cable network FX has just greenlit a pilot for a new series starring Elizabeth Olsen.
Great news for fans of Elizabeth Olsen, who hasn’t been seen on the small screen since her acclaimed role in the miniseries Love & Death, where she portrayed a woman who brutally murdered her lover’s wife. According to a report from Deadline, FX has ordered the pilot for the drama Seven Sisters, with Elizabeth Olsen leading the cast.
This project marks a reunion for Olsen with Sean Durkin (Iron Claw), who will direct the pilot and initially brought Olsen into the spotlight with her first film role in the critically praised Martha Marcy May Marlene. Will Arbery, formerly a writer for Succession, will pen the script.
What is Seven Sisters About?
The plot centers on a large family that begins to unravel when one of the sisters, played by Elizabeth Olsen, starts to speak in a voice that no one else can hear. This revelation forces the family to confront long-buried secrets. Further details about other cast members and production have not yet been disclosed.
If the series is picked up, it will join Elizabeth Olsen’s already busy schedule. She will soon appear alongside Alicia Vikander in Fleur Fortuné’s debut feature film, The Assessment. Olsen will also star with Miles Teller and Callum Turner in the romantic comedy Eternity by A24, where she is also serving as an executive producer.
Currently, Olsen is filming the thriller Panic Carefully with Julia Roberts in Sam Esmail’s latest film. It will be a few months before the fate of Seven Sisters is known.
