As Jessica sees Torres in a new light, she and Jimmy might not have completely closed the chapter on their romantic story. Speaking to TV Line for NCIS’s 500th episode (currently in its 23rd season in the United States), the actors delve a bit deeper.

Brian Dietzen first says, “The door isn’t completely closed between Jessica and Palmer. It’s half-open. They’ve said, ‘Now’s not the right time. Let’s find other commonalities in our lives. If it’s meant to be, it will happen between us in the future, without any force today’.“

Little does the actor know, in this week’s episode on CBS in North America, Jimmy faces an AI that probes into his relationships with Jessica… and Torres (Wilmer Valderrama)! This definitely gives the medical examiner something to think about. But that’s not all!

“There’s genuine affection between Jessica and Torres”

Katrina Law also weighs in on the future of the characters. She states, “Honestly, anything is possible. She and Jimmy might have a comeback, and at the same time, there’s an interest towards Torres. I believe there’s genuine affection between them.“

“However, things might get complicated since Jessica was close to Jimmy, who is Torres’ best friend, and because Torres was close to my character’s sister. But isn’t that what people love to watch on TV? (…) It could be fun to explore that. However, I like the idea of Jessica and Jimmy getting back together.“
