Mark your calendars for September 25 to catch the highly anticipated third season of this 4.2-rated series on Netflix.
The thrilling Japanese series, Alice in Borderland, is set to continue its saga on Netflix with its third season launching on September 25. Originally based on the manga by Haro Asō, the series chronicles the perilous adventures of young heroes thrust into an alternate universe where they face deadly games against formidable foes.
A Fresh Dynamic in Season 3
Season 2 concluded with protagonists Usagi and Arisu returning to the normal world. Just as life seemed to be improving for the young couple, the game quickly reasserts itself. In the upcoming season, the pair will find themselves on different teams, struggling not only to survive but also to reunite.
“With Arisu and Usagi on separate teams, it was fascinating to explore the unique atmospheres and character dynamics within each group,” Kento Yamazaki, the series lead, shared on the promotional site About Netflix. “Over the seasons, the characters have grown very dear to fans, which I believe is why the audience feels so connected to them in these life-or-death moments.”
Even Manga Fans Will Be Surprised!
The trailer for this third season promises an intense blend of action, drama, and violence. It’s worth noting that the Joker card was already hinted at, suggesting ominous developments for our heroes. Additionally, this season will feature an original storyline not present in the manga.
For this reason, Tao Tsuchiya, who plays Usagi, advises fans to revisit the first two seasons to fully grasp the stakes of the new season: “Everything Usagi has experienced in the previous seasons now forms part of her story, so whenever I needed, I would go back and watch Seasons 1 and 2,” she revealed to About Netflix.
Fans now know how to bide their time until the September 25 Netflix release of Alice in Borderland’s third season.
