Robert Patrick Reveals His Favorite Role – And It’s Not the Terminator 2 Villain!

Robert Patrick, famously known for his role as T-1000 in “Terminator 2,” recently disclosed his favorite role—which, surprisingly, isn’t the iconic villain from James Cameron’s blockbuster or his character in “Copland” alongside Stallone!

Robert Patrick’s portrayal of the T-1000, the formidable antagonist in “Terminator 2,” remains a standout in his career. The relentless mimetic poly-alloy cyborg who chases John Connor is frequently celebrated as one of the greatest movie villains in cinema history.

However, despite the iconic status of this role, it isn’t Patrick’s favorite. On an Instagram post dated March 29, the 66-year-old actor revealed his most cherished character, and it might not be as surprising as one would think.

A Beloved Role

“John Doggett is still my favorite role to date. I cherished the opportunity to play the lead role, portraying a true hero. The cast and crew were absolutely outstanding!”, Robert Patrick commented, captioning a photo of himself with David Duchovny during the filming of the series “X-Files.”

Indeed, during seasons 8 and 9 of the beloved series, from 2000 to 2002, Patrick brilliantly played FBI Agent John Doggett, the new partner of Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Monica Reyes (Annabeth Gish) following the disappearance of Fox Mulder (David Duchovny).

A Logical and Unwavering Character

Unlike his predecessor, Doggett is highly logical and adheres strictly to FBI regulations. During these two seasons, there is a reversal in the personalities of the main characters; Scully becomes the believer in the paranormal, while her partner is marked by skepticism.

Initially, Doggett and Scully clash, but as they collaborate on more cases, they grow closer. Robert Patrick brought a refreshing dynamic to the series in David Duchovny’s absence. Initially met with skepticism, fans eventually came to love his character for his unwavering integrity and heightened sense of justice.
