Prime Video recently debuted “Cross,” its brand-new crime series based on a character created by James Patterson. The series stars Aldis Hodge as a detective mourning the death of his wife while pursuing a cunning and dangerous serial killer.

Viewers will likely recognize actor Ryan Eggold in the cast. At 40, Eggold has had a robust career. Some may have first seen him in 2013 on the crime series “The Blacklist” on NBC, where he played Tom Keen, the husband of the protagonist portrayed by Megan Boone. Five years later, Eggold convinced NBC to cast him as the lead in a medical drama. He starred for five years in “New Amsterdam” as Dr. Max Goodwin, the director of one of the oldest hospitals in the United States, located in New York.

He aimed to overhaul the neglected facility by cutting through red tape to provide exceptional care to his patients. However, his struggles were numerous as he sought to win back his estranged pregnant wife and battled cancer that was eating away at him.

His character, Ed Ramsey, is introduced as a charismatic and influential man who captivates everyone. He turns out to be a formidable opponent for Alex Cross.
