Louise is No Longer the Hotel’s Director

Louise and Sofia catch up over coffee at La Peña Loca. Louise is in disbelief that she no longer owns the hotel. It’s where she was born and has been her whole life. Her friend is puzzled why she would sell it, especially to Clément. Their conversation is interrupted by Gabriel, who demands an explanation from his mother.

Louise reveals that the hotel was on the brink of collapse due to Lucien’s poor management. However, her son cannot fathom why she chose her ex-husband as the buyer. Later, Gabriel confronts his father, accusing him of stealing the hotel and firing his mother. Clément offers him the position of deputy director of the estate, but Gabriel adamantly refuses to work for the man who abused his mother for years.

With the change in management, Etienne warns Théa that their jobs might be at risk, and they need to be cautious around Clément. Théa suspects Clément might have coerced Louise into selling the hotel.

Tarek visits Audrey and informs her and Franck that Louise has sold the hotel to Clément. They are shocked. Franck finds it hard to sympathize with Louise after what she had done to him.

Marin Aims to Impress Philippe Etchebest

Marin watches nervously as Philippe Etchebest enjoys breakfast with Joey. She introduces Marin and his father, Etienne, to the celebrated chef. The client is stunned to learn about Louise’s decision to sell the hotel. The chef enjoys the breakfast and praises Marin for preparing a traditional ‘pompe à l’huile’. However, his mood changes after tasting the Provençal bread; Marin had accidentally used salt instead of anise powder. Joey, ever the critic, takes pleasure in pointing out Marin’s mistake.

Marin apologizes profusely. Philippe Etchebest reassures him that mistakes are common for beginners, and that this wouldn’t have happened if Loup were present. Yet, Marin is hurt—he is not a novice and wants to prove his capability. The chef agrees to give him another chance.

Later, Loup’s replacement serves tea time to Joey, now accompanied not by Philippe Etchebest, but by Riyad. Marin is disappointed not to see the chef but tries to remain positive despite Joey’s criticisms. Riyad, however, is excited to try his pastries. Both the client and the boxer commend Marin for his delicious yuzu-matcha éclair.

Marin encounters the renowned chef again and persuades him to return to the restaurant. He agrees after Joey praises his famous éclairs.

Louise Lies to Gabriel to Protect Her Secret

Louise packs her boxes to move in temporarily with Tarek. Gabriel apologizes for his earlier harsh words. He wants to make sure she isn’t hiding anything from him. He tells his mother that Clément offered him the deputy director position, but he declined it. He asks if there’s room for him at Tarek’s place.

Just as she is about to leave, Clément accuses Louise of convincing Gabriel to reject the job. He forcefully grabs her arm, threatening her to make Gabriel change his mind or else he will report her to the police.

She follows through and urges her son to accept the position. She claims it is a great career opportunity for him and attempts to justify Clément’s past abusive behavior to smooth over their rocky relationship.
