Sylvester Stallone & Morgan Freeman Star in Heartwarming Kids’ Movie? Discover the Magic!

Imagine the French voices of Sylvester Stallone and Morgan Freeman narrating a bedtime story right beside your bed. That’s exactly what happens in this heartfelt short film featuring the late Alain Dorval and Benoît Allemane.

If you were a child of the ’80s or ’90s, this short film will be a real treat! Directed by Nicolas Ramade, who also created the film “On s’est fait doubler,” which starred some of the greats in French voice acting, “La Guerre des Histoires” features two iconic voice actors, Alain Dorval and Benoît Allemane.

These legendary French voices of Sylvester Stallone and Morgan Freeman passed away in 2024 and 2025, respectively. Before their departure, they gifted us with this moving short film, where they play two feuding grandfathers vying to tell their granddaughter, played by Elise Pichard, a bedtime story.

The competition quickly escalates into a creative clash: Benoît creates a gentle, enchanting world reminiscent of classic fairy tales, while Alain whisks the child away on a wild, roaring adventure filled with fearless heroes and epic battles.

The grandfathers’ stories weave together, collide, and vie for supremacy, turning a simple bedtime routine into a chaotic and unforgettable spectacle.

If you’re a fan of dubbing and iconic French voices, make sure to also check out Nicolas Ramade’s earlier film, “On s’est fait doubler,” which we mentioned earlier. It brings together many stars from the industry.

The plot is as follows: One day, two friends start speaking in voices very different from their usual tones. Convinced that there must be others in the world experiencing the same phenomenon, they set out to find them… and encounter some of the most bizarre individuals they’ve ever seen!
