15 Years Ago, Sylvester Stallone Smashed an Opponent with a Parking Meter in an Overlooked Film!

Did you know? In 2009, Sylvester Stallone made a cameo appearance in a Bollywood movie, where he impressively took down the bad guys!

Sylvester Stallone’s career is nothing short of remarkable. Over the span of nearly five decades, he has amassed a diverse and prolific portfolio, including iconic sagas like Rocky, Rambo, and The Expendables. His roles in action movies such as Cliffhanger and The Specialist have cemented his status as a legend in the action film genre, and he’s ventured into nearly every other genre imaginable.

Indeed, “Sly” has been a staple of the film industry, a name that resonates even with those who have scant knowledge of cinema. But did you know that the actor, who currently portrays a former mafia boss in the Paramount+ series Tulsa King, appeared in a 2009 Bollywood film titled Kambakkht Ishq?

Six years following his cameo in a French action comedy that attracted over six million viewers, Stallone featured again, this time in a Bollywood film. In one incredible scene, he gave a group of thugs a taste of their own medicine!

Released in 2009, the Bollywood romantic action comedy Kambakkht Ishq tells the story of Virajn (Akshay Kumar), an Indian stuntman trying his luck in Hollywood, eager to kickstart his dream project in a city filled with both stars and strugglers. There, he meets Simrita (Kareena Kapoor).

It’s clear that Stallone’s inclusion in the cast of Kambakkht Ishq was due to parts of the film being shot in the United States, specifically Los Angeles. The director took great pleasure in giving “Sly” a wildly unlikely fight scene.

In this wild scene from Kambakkht Ishq, the Hollywood star comes to the rescue of Simrita Rai and her friends. After revealing his face by lifting his hood, he demolishes his foes with forceful punches, smashes them against a wall with a car he pushes, and delivers a blow to one of the thugs with a… parking meter, which he, of course, had ripped from the ground himself! This incredible scene can be seen below.

Why did Sylvester Stallone, who is also seen later in the film during an award ceremony scene, agree to participate in this project? “I feel we are bridging a gap between two different cultural and artistic worlds,” he stated in an interview with Eros Now Music.

“And it’s a film that explores themes I enjoy. It has heart, generosity, and spirituality,” added the muscular star. “It’s a film about the physical manifestation of love.” In the case of his very physical cameo, the term “physical” is certainly fitting!
