Tarek Boudali Mistaken for Hollywood Legend: What Really Happened?

When Tarek Boudali performs his own stunts, audiences mistake him for another well-known daredevil actor.

Tarek Boudali, an Action Film Enthusiast!

A long-standing member of the Bande à Fifi, a group led by Philippe Lacheau and made famous by the movie Babysitting, Tarek Boudali is primarily known for his roles in comedies. From Alibi.com to Marry Me, Dude, the Franco-Moroccan actor has also shone in this genre with the sitcom En famille. However, it was during the shooting of Babysitting 2, an action comedy filmed in Brazil, that Boudali developed a taste for physical scenes! In front of an astonished Roman Freyssinet and Redouane Bougheraba, he shared that he made “60 parachute jumps” to prepare for a free-falling scene in a found-footage format. He found the experience captivating: “The first jump is magical, I loved it!” he exclaimed with joy.

Any Resemblance to an Action Movie Star is Coincidental!

Continuing in this vein, the thrill-seeker directed 3 Days Max, a robust comedy with an even more explosive follow-up. For the sequel, the actor-director had to jump from moving cars and rappel down buildings. He opened up to Léa Salamé about the ordeal. “I cracked three ribs, dislocated a knee, and broke a piece of my elbow,” he detailed to Léa Salamé. “All in an attempt to mimic Tom Cruise,” the journalist teased him. But her comment was more accurate than she knew, as Boudali recounted an incident: “There’s a scene in 30 Days Max, shot in Abu Dhabi, where I’m hanging beneath a military helicopter. We flew over the city, and there were people below filming us. The next day, we saw posts online claiming: ‘It’s a stunt from the upcoming Tom Cruise movie.'” His stunts and injuries are worthy of a Mission Impossible shoot, but they are certainly not recommended for trying at home!
