Tonight on TV: Gérard Jugnot Stars in Philippe Lacheau’s Comedy Hit!

When he decides to propose to Flo, Greg, backed into a corner, must introduce her to his family—comprising a con-man father and a mother who is a former adult film actress. With no other options, Greg is forced to reopen his agency!

“Truly Unpresentable” Parents

How did the idea for Alibi.com 2 come about for Philippe Lacheau and his co-writers? “Since the Alibi.com agency had closed at the end of the first film, we needed a compelling reason that would force Greg to reopen it,” says “Fifi”. “Some ideas we discussed emotionally distanced us from Flo’s family and the relationship she has with Greg, so we abandoned them.“

“Having witnessed Greg and Flo’s meeting in the first installment, it felt natural for them to get married in the second, and we started from the wedding to imagine everything that could disrupt its preparation and proper execution,” he continues. “That’s where the idea came from that Greg’s parents would be truly unpresentable, potentially ruining the happiest day of Flo’s life. The only solution Greg finds is to reopen the agency one last time, to introduce fake parents to Flo and her future in-laws.“
