Charlotte Offers Her Apologies to Manu

Marie-Sophie shares with her husband her feelings of guilt for not realizing that their daughter was under Sacha’s influence. While Sohan reminds her that they were manipulated into misunderstanding, Marie-Sophie still feels she should have sensed something was wrong.

At the police station, Becker calls in Manu. Given the circumstances, he and Judge Alphand have decided to overlook his unauthorized investigation. The commissioner then expresses his regret for everything Manu has endured, noting that they would have done the same for any victim. Manu, clearly moved, shares that the case was tough for him to handle. Now cleared, Captain Léoni is immediately reinstated to his duties.

Meanwhile, Charlotte meets with Lucie, the psychologist. She thought that confessing everything to the police would relieve her, but it hasn’t. Instead, she feels disgusted with herself for having lied, especially since many women are raped. After being reminded by the psychologist that she is a victim in this case, Charlotte eventually reveals what happened with Sacha. Lucie then informs her that it was rape.

Elsewhere, Sohan apologizes to Eve. Although she is understanding, it appears their relationship is nonetheless strained.

At the end of the day, Charlotte goes to the police station to sign her statement. As she leaves, she runs into Manu in the parking lot and takes the opportunity to apologize for the ordeal she caused him. “I know what you went through, so I understand,” he replies. Charlotte thanks him.

Janet Confronts Laurine

Clément feels guilty. Indeed, Commissioner Becker believes it’s his fault Janet lost her job. If he hadn’t told his nephew to intern in his wife’s department, she might not be in this situation. Alain tries to reassure him and is certain that returning to fieldwork will be beneficial for Janet.

At the same time, Janet, now aware that Laurine used Jérémy solely to hurt her, confronts the Laumière girl. “You disgrace this profession. I could almost thank you, as you’ve brought me back to the essentials of my job: the patients. But don’t ever cross me again, or you’ll regret it,” she warns.

At L. Cosmetics, Boris tells Bilal and Berthier that they are restarting the partnership project with the hospital on dermatological diagnostics assisted by AI. If the initial tests are successful, they will need to develop a specific line of products.

Meanwhile, Jean-Michel, the hospital’s IT technician, is still coughing a lot. Since he no longer has a primary care doctor, Alain agrees to examine him. Jean-Michel is suffering from a respiratory disease called chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Although his condition is still in stage 1, he will never be cured and will remain ill for life. However, he can slow the progression if he follows Dr. Alphand’s medical recommendations, which include maintaining a healthy diet, regular physical activity, and getting vaccinated against the flu to prevent further infections.
