Thelma Digs Deeper into Deception

At the Institute, Mattéo is glad to hear that Thelma has reconciled with her father, Edouard, who apparently gave her some money – as he observed at the café the previous day. Thelma indeed claims that Edouard is her father, but she reveals that their reconciliation is not complete. Additionally, she plans to invite her entire class to a lunch at the Master’s restaurant to strengthen their bonds. Mattéo mentions he won’t be able to attend as he will be on duty at Double A.

Thelma then heads to the kitchen where Solal is working. Excited, Solal looks forward to introducing Zoé to his father during their planned lunch at Double A. To avoid being caught, Thelma quickly finds a replacement for Mattéo for the day’s service, turning to Maya, who agrees.

At Double A, Solal introduces Zoé to his father, Edouard. Meanwhile, Thelma welcomes her classmates at the Master’s restaurant, puzzled by Mattéo’s absence. Milan informs her that he had to fill in for another student at the last minute. Indeed, Mattéo is at Double A, and he feels particularly uneasy when he serves Solal’s table.

In the administration office, Teyssier confirms that Thelma’s check has been cashed. Olivia then reveals to the Institute’s director that the money did not come from the Click & Collect proceeds nor from Thelma’s personal family funds since her parents have cut her off, and she has resorted to selling her belongings on a luxury resale site. Chef Listrac plans to discuss the issue with Thelma.

In a corridor, Thelma overhears a conversation between Zoé and Mattéo about her. Mattéo wonders why Solal’s father would give money to Thelma and why she made him believe Edouard was her father. Zoé is determined to uncover the truth…

Carla and Vic Sabotage Their Golden Goose

During class, Chef Armand praises the students to take inspiration from Carla and Vic, whose squab dish from the previous day greatly impressed her. She then proposes a new exercise focused on enhancing sea urchins.

Carla and Vic plan to use the annotated recipe book they found in the library, which includes a sea urchin recipe. However, they realize the book has disappeared from their workstation. They attempt the recipe from memory.

After class, Carla and Vic wonder who could have stolen their book. They immediately suspect Souleymane since he was the only one aware of it. When confronted, he admits it wasn’t him.

Carla and Vic then search the Workshop hoping to find the book. They are caught by Clotilde, who reveals that she took the book, which was hers when she was a student. She asks the girls to be more honest moving forward and tasks them with recreating their squab dish.

Gaspard Alters His Approach with Cléo

Gaspard manages to get the phone number of the chef at the restaurant where Cléo has secured a position as a kitchen assistant in Toulouse. Coline fears the worst and strongly advises her friend against sabotaging Cléo out of revenge.

Later, Gaspard calls the chef with the intention of sabotaging Cléo by pretending to be Myriel. However, upon seeing her happily chatting on the other end of the park, he ends up praising her to the chef.

Gaspard then visits Cléo, who is busy packing her belongings. In the meantime, she receives a call from her future boss in Toulouse and immediately guesses that Gaspard had posed as Myriel to support her application. She thanks him. Even though Gaspard admits he doesn’t want her to leave, he also expresses his desire for her happiness. They share a kiss.
