With the release of this fifth chapter just around the corner, the series’ lead actor, Jean-Paul Rouve, takes over from director Olivier Baroux and steps behind the camera. The Tuche is the third project on which Olivier Baroux and Jean-Paul Rouve have collaborated. After acting together in Eric Lartigau’s “Mais qui a tué Pamela Rose?”, Jean-Paul Rouve starred in the first movie directed by Olivier Baroux, “Ce soir, je dors chez toi”.

The Robin Hood Mark

The character of Jeff, the family patriarch portrayed by Jean-Paul Rouve, was inspired by one of the roles he played during his time with the comedy troupe Les Robins des Bois on Canal+ in the sketch “Radio bière foot”. “He was a kind of rock, a monolith who thought and spoke in only one way, never showing his emotions“, explains Olivier Baroux.

Like a Hurricane

On the last day of filming, the entire crew sang “Comme un ouragan”, by Stéphanie de Monaco, who is idolized by Cathy Tuche. Olivier Baroux shares that this is probably the best memory he will keep from this adventure, a moment that audiences can relive during the end credits.
