Dominique Initiates a Challenge
Zoé feels guilty for having pushed Inès down the stairs. Inès spent the night in the emergency room and ended up with a sprained wrist. Lionel is upset with Zoé for losing her temper, all over a Masterclass for which she wasn’t even selected. On the other hand, Solal receives a notification that he has been accepted. Despite everything, Zoé is happy for him.
At the Leroy household, Jim can no longer stand the tension between his father and his grandfather. He asks his grandfather to make an effort, assuring that his father has changed and has made it up to him and Thibault. Dominique responds that it’s a lot to ask of him.
Meanwhile, Zoé thinks about how to make it up to Inès. At the Economat, Gary gives her an idea: prepare a very comforting meal. She gets right to it in the kitchen before giving way to Chef Montigny-Ferrand for his Masterclass.
Jim, Julia, and Solal are among the six students selected for the Masterclass. Dominique explains that he will test them daily for a week and that the most deserving student will win his precious knives, very old ones that belonged to a highly esteemed chef. Jim is dismayed: he thought that these knives would one day be his and his brother’s.
At the Lanneau’s, Zoé sets up her meal for Inès to apologize. She also agrees to let her go to a dance audition that evening on the condition that she returns to school during the day. But Inès reveals the real reason she doesn’t want to go back: she has been a victim of bullying and has been living a nightmare for months…
Mattéo Aims to Support Jude
Jude’s Counter is relatively empty. To bring in customers, Mattéo suggests hosting a culinary quiz. He quickly discusses it with Thelma and Bianca. To convince them, he claims that the winning team of the quiz will receive a free meal every day for a year.
Afterward, Mattéo realizes that his offer is far too generous and might actually jeopardize his boyfriend. He promises to make it up to him. He then decides to predefine the winning team of the quiz. He invites Alice and Olivia to participate by promising them a ticket for a free drink. The two chefs gladly accept.
Billie and Ferdinand Set Things Straight
At the studio, Stanislas thanks Billie for the training she provided to Ferdinand because he perfectly mastered the slicing of the leg of lamb during his last service.
Billie realizes that Ferdinand didn’t tell the maître d’ that she had bailed on him during a coaching session. She apologizes and explains that she felt destabilized being around him. She emphasizes that she doesn’t want a romantic relationship with him but wants to keep him in her life. However, hurt by the list of flaws she drew up about him, Ferdinand prefers to cut ties.
At the end of the day, Billie makes another attempt with Ferdinand by revealing the real purpose of the list of defects: to help her detach from him because she can’t get him out of her head. Ferdinand then admits that he orchestrated the coaching himself to be able to work with her. The two exes feel even. They forgive each other, ready to move forward.
