Fans were eagerly anticipating the second season of the Disney+ series “Daredevil: Born Again,” but a last-minute rumor suggests that the release date may be delayed.
Premiering in March 2025, the first season of Daredevil: Born Again marked the celebrated return of Hell’s Kitchen’s notorious Daredevil to the small screen, following the cancellation of the highly popular Daredevil series by Netflix after three seasons.
The series was well-received by viewers on AlloCiné, earning an average rating of 4.1 out of 5. It quickly built a particularly eager fanbase looking forward to the second season, set to release on March 4, 2026, exactly one year after the first season. However, according to reports from Dark Horizons, this scheduled release is no longer certain.
What’s Happening with Daredevil Season 2?
The filming of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 wrapped up smoothly on July 9, 2025, with the return of main cast members from the first season, including Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Wall, Elden Henson, and Matthew Lillard. However, after months of post-production, the previously announced release date was reportedly removed from Disney’s internal press page, as revealed by Dark Horizon.
On Marvel and Disney+ sites, the specific date of March 4 has also been removed, now only showing a vague “March 2026” with no further details. These changes suggest that the release might indeed be discreetly postponed, although neither Marvel nor Disney+ has made an official statement on the matter yet.
If this delay is confirmed, it could complicate the production schedule of the series, as the filming of Season 3 is supposed to start in early 2026. This delay could be due to the need for more extensive work on special effects compared to Season 1. We’ll have to wait until the new episodes are released to be sure.
