Bridget Jones 4 Trailer Drops: Catch Renée Zellweger in the Final Film!

The trailer for “Bridget Jones: Mad About Him” has just been released! The final installment of the series will hit theaters on February 12, 2025.

The most bumbling heroine in cinema is back! Nine years after “Bridget Jones’s Baby,” the third part of the series, and 24 years after Sharon Maguire’s original film, the quirky character created by Helen Fielding returns for a fourth (and final) episode.

In “Bridget Jones: Mad About Him,” Renée Zellweger resumes the role that made her famous. To recap, in the third film, the heroine gets pregnant and ultimately marries the father of her child, Mark Darcy (Colin Firth).

This new chapter unfolds several years later; Bridget Jones is 52 years old and has two children. After the death of Mark Darcy, with whom she shared ten years of happiness, she is once again on the hunt for the ideal man. However, re-entering the dating scene proves challenging… The trailer released today reveals that, although his character is supposed to be deceased, Colin Firth will still make appearances in flashbacks.

Directed by Michael Morris, who follows Sharon Maguire and Beeban Kidron, the feature film sees the return of Renée Zellweger, as well as Emma Thompson, Shirley Henderson, Jim Broadbent, Gemma Jones, and… Hugh Grant!

Hugh Grant’s Comeback

Missing from the third film, Daniel Cleaver will make a comeback in this fourth movie, but apparently not as a love interest, according to the trailer. In “Bridget Jones’s Baby,” Daniel is briefly mentioned and is supposed to have died in a plane crash. However, at the end of the movie, Bridget learns that her former love has survived. This left the door open for the character’s possible return.

Newcomers to the saga’s universe will also be introduced: Chiwetel Ejiofor, Leo Woodall (“One Day”), Isla Fisher (“Now You See Me”), Leila Farzad, and Nico Parker (“The Last of Us”).

And it’s the young American actor Leo Woodall who plays one of Bridget’s new suitors. However, this budding romance is likely to be complicated by Bridget’s doubts about her relationship with a younger man and by the children’s teacher, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor…

“Bridget Jones: Mad About Him” will debut in theaters on February 12, 2025.
