Christopher Nolan’s ‘L’Odyssée’ Reveals Stunning New Trojan Horse Images!

Scheduled to hit theaters in July, Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of “The Odyssey” gets a closer look in a feature on the American show 60 Minutes.

Known for his blockbuster films like the Batman trilogy and Interstellar, Christopher Nolan has outdone himself with his latest project, an adaptation of Homer’s classic, “The Odyssey.” In an interview with Scott Pelley on 60 Minutes, Nolan confirmed that this is “the biggest film” he has ever directed.

Moreover, the show provided a sneak peek at new footage from the movie, which is as breathtaking as the trailer scenes. The video (available below) offers a better look at the legendary Trojan Horse that helped the Greeks win the war and began Odysseus’s lengthy journey back to Ithaca, where he encounters a cyclops, sirens, and the monsters Charybdis and Scylla.

Matt Damon’s Most Challenging Film Yet

The new images are particularly eye-catching, perhaps because they rely less on digital special effects, which Christopher Nolan tends to avoid as much as possible. This approach, however, resulted in a grueling and exhausting shoot for the actors.

Chosen to portray Odysseus, Matt Damon has stated that this is “the most difficult film he has ever done, by far,” admitting that he initially did not believe the director when Nolan warned him about the demanding nature of the shoot. Nolan himself has confessed that he “may have found his limit” with this highly demanding production.

As a reminder, Matt Damon is joined by a stellar cast in “The Odyssey,” including Charlize Theron as Calypso, Anne Hathaway as Penelope, Tom Holland as Telemachus, Robert Pattinson as Antinous, Lupita Nyong’o as Helen and Clytemnestra, John Leguizamo as Eumaeus, Jon Bernthal as Menelaus, Benny Safdie as Agamemnon, Zendaya as Athena, Himesh Patel as Eurylochus, and Mia Goth as Melantho.

Mark your calendars for July 15 to see all these stars in action at the cinema.
