Anaïs Fears She Caused the Mass Poisoning

At the Marsh House, Anaïs, Emi, and Billie feel guilty about what happened at Double A the previous night: eleven people, including Bérénice, collapsed after eating their meal. Milan points out, however, that there is no solid proof that they are to blame. He encourages them to investigate the incident themselves.

Meanwhile, officials from the Departmental Directorate for Population Protection are dispatched to the Institute to take samples from the kitchens for analysis. They inform Teyssier, Rose, and Clotilde that the kitchens must be closed until further notice.

Anaïs, Billie, and Emi head to Double A, which has been partially closed off. They recall the previous day’s service to determine if they missed anything crucial. Teyssier joins them and reassures them that they are not at fault.

By the end of the day, Teyssier and Anaïs meet with the head of the DDPP who tells them that all the individuals who fainted had consumed the same dish: ravioli with mafé sauce. Anaïs lists the ingredients she used in the recipe, admitting she made a last-minute change…

After leaving the office, Anaïs meets up with Billie and Emi. She explains that she was distracted during the service and might have improperly prepared the manioc. It’s a risky ingredient because it contains poison if not prepared correctly. Anaïs thus fears that the Double A incident might be entirely her fault…

Are Zoé and Thelma Pregnant?

Zoé and Thelma are convinced that the fortune teller’s predictions are true. Indeed, she had predicted a terrible tragedy. Zoé and Thelma believe she was referring to the Double A customers who fainted. Gary thinks it’s just a coincidence.

Nevertheless, the girls continue to believe in the fortune teller’s predictions, which also mentioned a birth. Consequently, they both decide to take a pregnancy test. They are relieved when the tests come back negative. They realize they had worried over nothing.

Stanislas and Coline Support Angèle

DDPP agents visit Angèle’s farm because they need to inspect all of the Institute’s suppliers as part of the investigation. As long as the analyses are ongoing, Angèle must halt her deliveries and transactions.

Later, Coline confides in Stanislas that she fears their farm might go under if the DDPP finds anything incriminating. Stanislas suggests that they distract themselves by planting seedlings in place of Angèle. They discuss the previous night’s service and realize they both feel guilty about what happened, even though it wasn’t their fault.

At the end of the day, Angèle tells her daughter that the DDPP found nothing amiss and that the farm’s operations can resume. She is deeply touched to see that Stanislas had pitched in with the seedlings.
