Even though he no longer plays the role on screen, Harmon continues to bring Gibbs to life by adopting one of his definitive rules: “Always carry a knife,” as he revealed in the interview.

According to the actor, who recently disclosed what the series was originally intended to be, this practice of always having a knife “is a very good rule.” To recall, it’s Agent Gibbs’ Rule Number 9: “Never go anywhere without a knife,” which was introduced in the very first season of the successful crime series.
