Mark Wahlberg Stars in Thrilling True Story You’ve Never Heard Before!

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II Teams Up with Mark Wahlberg in the True Story-Based Police Thriller “By Any Means”—It’s Bound to Be Exciting!

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, known for his roles in “Watchmen” and “Wonder Man,” has officially signed on to star alongside Mark Wahlberg in “By Any Means.” This police thriller, directed by Elegance Bratton (“The Inspection”), was first announced by Deadline in October last year.

Abdul-Mateen will take on the lead role initially intended for Sterling K. Brown, who had to leave the project due to scheduling conflicts.

Based on Sascha Penn’s Black List screenplay “CI34,” “By Any Means” will unfold the remarkable true story of a notorious mafia hitman who was recruited by the FBI under Hoover. This hitman teamed up with a young African American special agent to pursue those responsible for the murders of civil rights leaders in Mississippi in 1966.

The film will be co-produced by several studios, including Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee from Thunder Road Films, the production house behind the “John Wick” series. Mark Wahlberg will also co-produce the project through his company, Closest to the Hole Production, alongside Stephen Levinson.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has recently wrapped up filming for Marvel’s mini-series “Wonder Man,” set to release on Disney+ in December, where he plays the title role. He has also completed filming for Netflix’s series “Man On Fire,” based on the books by A.J. Quinnell.

While we await more details, you can watch Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in his award-winning role in “Watchmen” on Max or “The Trial of the Chicago 7” on Netflix.
