Will Dave Bautista & Jason Momoa’s Prime Video Action Movie Get a Sequel? Find Out!

It’s an explosive start! Just days after its release, the film “Team Demolition” directed by Angel Manuel Soto (Blue Beetle) has already clinched the number one spot globally on Prime Video, sparking rumors about a possible sequel that has not yet been confirmed by the studio.

“We have a pretty clear idea.”

In an interview with The Direct, the film’s screenwriter Jonathan Tropper, who is also known for creating the series Banshee, shared some details about the potential expansion of the Team Demolition universe:

“We have a pretty clear idea… These brothers are now more united than ever before. […] A sequel would escalate the stakes and put them in a much more challenging situation. […] The relationship they built between the first and the second film would start to unravel as they find themselves thrust back into adversity.”

While the desire is there, convincing the platform to invest in this second installment is still pending, as Tropper noted: “We need to wait and see if Amazon wants a sequel.” A decision that should come quickly given the phenomenal success of the first film.

However, with two Hollywood stars in the lead roles, scheduling conflicts are inevitable: “I’ve spoken a bit with Jason Momoa, and I would have liked to discuss it with Dave Bautista, but Dave is currently very busy filming two other movies.” Thus, it might take some time before the entire team can regroup to prepare for this next chapter.
