Royal Scandal Series: Dive Into Britain’s Biggest Royal Family Secrets!

Tonight, TF1 Séries Films is airing Royal Scandal, a series inspired by the real interview with Prince Andrew about his involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal and his connection to Virginia Giuffre.

Without a doubt, this is one of the biggest scandals to have shaken the British Crown.

This Monday, March 16, TF1 Séries Films is showcasing Royal Scandal, a three-episode miniseries that revisits the 2019 interview given by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, Duke of York, to journalist Emily Maitlis for the BBC.

This interview, intended to allow Prince Andrew to clarify his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and to address the allegations by Virginia Giuffre, who claimed she was sexually abused by Andrew when she was a minor, quickly turned into a media debacle.

Andrew’s blunders, his lack of empathy for Epstein’s victims, the downplaying of his crimes, and the lack of credibility in his arguments shocked the world and made headlines globally.

A PR disaster that subsequently led to the downfall of Queen Elizabeth II’s second son. A few days after this disastrous interview, Andrew stepped back from his royal duties. In 2022, by the Queen’s decision, he was stripped of his military titles and was no longer entitled to use the style of His Royal Highness.
