Must-Watch Netflix Thriller: Action-Packed & Not for Kids, Starring Clint Eastwood’s Favorite Actress

For action thriller enthusiasts, Netflix has recently released a high-tension German movie featuring a star from “Barbarians” and another from “Desperate Housewives”. Here’s what you need to know about “Exterritorial”.

Attention action thriller fans! Netflix has just launched a new film from Germany that’s sure to captivate fans of the genre. Directed by Christian Zübert (known for “The Collini Case”), this feature film is packed with action and twists. It’s the perfect watch for an evening of entertainment on the platform.

A Mix of Action and Conspiracy

“Exterritorial” follows the story of Sara, a former special forces soldier trying to start over with her son Josh after her husband, also a former soldier, was killed in action in Afghanistan.

Sara and her son go to the U.S. consulate in Frankfurt for paperwork, but Josh suddenly disappears without a trace. Even more bizarre, no one seems to remember seeing him in the building.

Sara knows that the German authorities have no jurisdiction over the consulate and that if she leaves now, she might never see her son again. She plunges into the depths of the consulate in a desperate search, unaware of the increasing danger of a dark conspiracy surrounding her past.

Sara, a tormented but tough heroine, will stop at nothing to find her son. Her skills enable her to overcome numerous challenges and defeat many adversaries, leading to many effective action scenes throughout the 1 hour and 42 minutes of the film, which is not recommended for viewers under 16. The plot thickens with conspiracies, twists, and revealed secrets.

A Star from “Barbarians” and “Pax Massilia” Opposite a “Desperate Housewives” Star

The role of Sara is played by Franco-German actress Jeanne Goursaud. With her experience in action films and series, she perfectly embodies this tough, determined heroine.

You might have seen her in Clint Eastwood’s “The 15:17 to Paris” and the Netflix series “Barbarians” and Olivier Marchal’s “Pax Massilia”, as well as the recently aired series “Kabul” on France 2.

Opposite her is former “Desperate Housewives” star Dougray Scott, who played Ian Hainsworth, one of Susan Mayer’s (Teri Hatcher) lovers. The actor has appeared in series like “Batwoman”, “Vigil”, and more recently in “Sherlock & Daughter”.

In “Exterritorial”, Dougray Scott plays Eric Kynch, the regional security chief, who initially takes on Sara’s case but turns out to be much more complex and mysterious than he appears.

The film “Exterritorial” is now available on Netflix.
