Mystery Unveiled: Is Justine a Cop, Dancer, or Hacker? Our Top Theories!

In the current episodes of “All for the Light,” Justine is obsessively focused on Marina and her mysterious past. But why is the assistant director so invested in the dance teacher’s history? Here are our theories!

Marina: A Target of Conspiracy

As truths begin to reveal themselves for Marina (Maud Jurez) in “All for the Light,” the same goes for Justine (Prudence Leroy). Recently, she has grown closer to the dance coach, becoming her trusted confidante. Marina is going through an exceptionally tough time, triggered by a seemingly innocent casting call for a commercial. Spotted by Justine, who saw a golden opportunity for the students, the casting sought dancers for a globally broadcasted luxury brand advertisement.

Marina agreed to cancel her vacation to assist the students, but the chosen song for the choreography, Mad World, dredged up painful memories for her. She had performed to this song years ago in Lyon, known then as Aurélia, while in a promising phase of her dance career. At that time, she was involved in a toxic relationship with the choreographer, Philippe, who continually humiliated and abused her.

At her breaking point, Marina killed Philippe and changed her identity and appearance to start anew in La Ciotat, thus escaping imprisonment. As the statute of limitations on her crime nears, the dance teacher is on the verge of breaking down and confessing everything. After hearing Mad World, she starts hallucinating, seeing Philippe bloodied, and then finds the choreographer’s scarf in her bag.

Justine Pulls Strings from the Shadows

What about Justine in all this? While she has become a confidante for Marina, her motives are far from pure. In episode 56, aired Monday, September 1 on TF1, Justine meets her husband, Captain Beauvois – incidentally, the son of a famous actor – whom we first saw in episode 10 of the series.

It becomes clear she has been orchestrating a plan for years, which she put into motion these past few days: the casting with the song Mad World, the video of young Marina when she was still Aurélia, Philippe’s scarf… she arranged all these elements to push Marina to the edge before the expiration of the statute.

Police Officer, Dancer, Hacker? The Many Faces of Justine

It’s now apparent that Justine is at the Studio to bring down Marina. Is she, like her husband, a police officer? If so, her role as assistant director might just be a cover. Justine makes sure to never meet Beauvois near the Studio, keeping her true identity safe. While it seems most likely that Justine is a law enforcement agent, one might wonder if her motives are purely personal.

Indeed, when Marina was teaching tango, it was discovered that Justine, who claimed she couldn’t dance, actually had significant dance talent. The assistant director claimed she had taken dance classes in her youth but had since forgotten everything.

Later, she revealed to Marina that she did take classes but stopped because her teacher was too demanding and harsh. Could Philippe have been her instructor, and if so, was she also a victim of his abuse? But then why would she want to expose Marina for killing him?

Lastly, it’s fun to speculate that Justine might have been a hacker in another life. If so, is she a reformed criminal, using her hacking skills for law enforcement? Did she meet her husband in that context? Perhaps Ludovic arrested her, and they fell in love? In “All for the Light,” anything is possible!
