Spoilers Alert! What to Expect in Episode 1053 of ‘Ici Tout Commence’ This Monday!

On Monday, November 25, in ‘Ici tout commence’…

Anaïs Faces Her New Reality

At the Marsh House, Enzo and Vic ask Milan about Anaïs’s situation. He tells them that she waited too long to have surgery, but since she still has some residual hearing, she should be able to use hearing aids. He plans to accompany her to her audiologist appointment.

Meanwhile, Teyssier calls all the guests from last Friday to apologize for canceling the tasting event. He claims there was an issue with the cold room and that Anaïs’s special menu will be rescheduled as soon as the problem is fixed. Antoine and Clotilde, however, try to make their boss understand that Anaïs might not be able to return to the kitchen. Teyssier asks them to stay out of it.

Only with his wife does Teyssier admit feeling guilty about Anaïs’s predicament. He regrets putting too much pressure on her. Constance points out, however, that Anaïs has a genetic condition and that she also put a lot of pressure on herself. Regardless, Teyssier is not ready to give up on her, remembering how she supported him when he lost his sense of taste and smell.

At the hospital, Anaïs meets with the audiologist who gives her hearing aids and then works on fine-tuning them. Initially, Anaïs is overwhelmed by hearing all sounds at the same level. Once the adjustments are complete, she can hear people’s voices, but they sound robotic.

Back at the Marsh House, Anaïs is visited by Teyssier, who shares his feelings of guilt and also warns her against using drugs. Anaïs promises she won’t touch them ever again and assures him she will get back on her feet to reschedule her special menu event. Teyssier, in turn, assures her that her position as head chef at the Double A is secure.

Later, Anaïs goes to her room as her devices start to whistle. Milan explains to Teyssier that the devices pick up all surrounding sounds and that Anaïs must constantly focus on the voices of the people talking to her, which is extremely tiring. She will need rehabilitation, but it could take a very long time.

Eventually, Anaïs comes out of her room while Vic and Carla are preparing dinner. The surrounding noises become unbearable for her. Milan takes her outside to the terrace to calm down. Anaïs removes her aids, confessing she will never get used to them. In tears, she realizes she may never be able to return to the kitchen. Milan holds her to comfort her.

Lionel Tackles Parenting Inès

At the Lanneau home, Zoé finds a note from Inès’s main teacher in her notebook, highlighting her dropping grades. Inès snaps back that her sister should find a boyfriend instead of always nagging her, adding that it’s not her fault Gary rejected her. Frustrated, Zoé hands off her little sister to Lionel.

At the Workshop, Lionel is unsure which direction to take his concept after the mystery critique. This is the case for several of his peers as well. Mehdi advises them to stop overthinking it. Unlike the others, Lionel needs to get home early to take care of Inès. He tries to help her with her math homework, but to no avail as they end up yelling at each other.

Lionel seeks advice from Tom and Billie. The latter suggests opting for positive education: communicating kindly instead of yelling at each other.

Antoine is Smitten with Angèle

At the local café, Coline and Bérénice tell Carla they tried to get Angèle hired as a gardener at the Institute, but their plan backfired. Carla is upset they went behind her back and points out it was a bad idea since Rose would not have appreciated bumping into Angèle. Moreover, Carla reminds Coline that she still hasn’t talked to her mother about herself.

Later, Carla confides to Souleymane that Coline is her cousin. At the same moment, Coline comes over to apologize.

Meanwhile, Antoine admits to Rose that he’s struggling to fill the gardener position. He thought he had found the perfect candidate, but she declined. Seeing how he talks about this candidate, Rose suspects she caught his eye. Antoine confirms this, and Rose encourages him to call her back, unaware of who she is.

At the end of the day, Coline tries to talk about Carla with her mother, but her mother doesn’t listen, distracted by the messages on her phone. Seizing the moment while her mother’s back is turned, Coline sneaks a peek and discovers that her mother has a meeting with Antoine on Wednesday.
