Marc Faces Humiliation in the First Challenge

After driving drunk, Marc ends up damaging his vehicle. Back home, he finds support from Jim and Jasmine, who sense he’s hiding something and press him for the truth. Marc eventually reveals Paul’s blackmail involving Rose and his plan to sober up and face the chef competition challenge.

Meanwhile, at the Institute, Paul tells Rose that he was selfish to share his feelings just after her breakup with Marc. He suggests they forget their conversation to focus on the filming of the chef competition. Rose agrees. Later, she notices that Joséphine seems upset with her uncle.

Later, everyone gathers at the Workshop for the start of the chefs’ competition. Armand, Listrac, and Leroy face off in a technical challenge involving quail. They draw lots for their preparation method: Armand in caul, Listrac stuffed, and Leroy raw.

During the challenge, Marc is distracted by the alcohol bottle Olivia uses for her recipe. He struggles to concentrate. Even when Souleymane offers a suggestion for their dish, Marc ignores it and sticks to his original idea.

At the end of the challenge, Alice and Teyssier judge the chefs’ dishes. Clotilde scores 15/20, while Olivia scores 13/20. Marc, however, scores a mere 8/20. Teyssier orders him to pull himself together. Behind the scenes, Paul hides his satisfaction.

Disheartened, Marc returns home and is about to drink. Jim and Jasmine stop him. Feeling helpless, Marc throws the alcohol bottle against a wall and leaves the place. Distraught, Jim finds solace in his girlfriend’s embrace…

Stanislas Looks to Cut Costs

Stanislas agrees to temporarily take over Antoine’s administrative duties. He notices that the bills for the courses are twice as high as those at the Double A.

He heads to the kitchen where Malik, Maya, and Gaspard are preparing for their next class with Chef Guinot. Stanislas observes that they are using a lot of high-end products, which he deems unnecessary.

Later, at the storeroom, Malik and Gaspard find the cold room locked. They discover a note from Stanislas stating that the use of high-end products must now be authorized.

When Chef Guinot learns of the situation, she confronts Stanislas for not consulting the teaching staff. Teyssier joins their conversation and ultimately sides with Stanislas’s cost-saving measures.

Lionel and Zoé Devise a Cunning Plan

Before his exam, Solal stops by the Lanneau’s to pick up his lucky t-shirt that he forgot. Zoé realizes she accidentally bleached it in the wash and blames Lionel to avoid trouble.

Lionel thus arrives late at the marsh flat where he had promised Emi to help prepare a romantic lunch. To prevent her from being upset, Lionel claims that Zoé is going through a mild depression, explaining his tardiness.

Emi takes time to cheer up Zoé. Afterwards, Lionel explains to his sister their strategy: to prevent couple crises, they agree to take the blame for each other.
