Marc and Rose Have a Heated Argument

After his confrontation with Paul the previous day, Marc has barely spoken to Rose. Before she heads to the Institute, he tries to reconnect. He explains that he lost his temper because Paul keeps hinting at his true feelings for Rose, provoking him repeatedly. Despite his explanations, Rose believes that’s no excuse for attacking Paul. She insists that their relationship ended a long time ago.

However, to clear the air, Rose meets Paul at the local café before class. She bluntly asks him why he returned to the area. Paul says he simply wanted to show his niece the Institute. He adds that Rose holds a special place in his heart and he’s delighted to see her again. But he claims that’s as far as it goes and he’s happy for her and Marc. Only Joséphine, who catches her uncle with Rose, senses that he is still in love with her and plans to win her back.

Later, Joséphine joins the second-year students for her first day of internship. She is accompanied by Souleymane and meets Carla. She also takes the opportunity to thank Chef Leroy directly for agreeing to supervise her internship.

Meanwhile, Paul visits the administration office to propose that Teyssier and Clotilde create a paid platform where subscribers worldwide could watch live online classes taught by an Institute chef with a volunteer student. Clotilde is very excited. Paul also plans to discuss this with Rose, whom he considers ideal to co-lead this project.

Later, Rose meets with her sister and admits she’s intrigued by Paul’s idea. Her only hesitation stems from her fear of hurting Marc, who has shown intense jealousy. Clotilde confirms that Marc had once kicked his ex-wife out when he believed she had cheated on him. She encourages her sister to pursue her desires and considers that Marc will have to learn to trust her.

Thus, Rose meets up with Clotilde and Paul in the kitchen later to give her approval. Clotilde already has a recipe idea in mind. Paul suggests his niece as the student who would join them. Rose also thinks a kitchen assistant would benefit Clotilde. Paul takes this moment to tell his ex how thrilled he is to work with her. As he touches her arm, she discreetly pulls away. From the other side of the kitchen glass, Marc watches them together.

In the evening, Rose returns home to Marc, who reproaches her for agreeing to work with Paul, which bothers him greatly. He is certain that Paul has ulterior motives. Rose counters that Paul assured her otherwise. Marc then accuses her of being manipulated again. Deeply hurt, Rose tears up and decides to leave Marc’s house, regretting moving in…

Angèle and Stanislas Are Not Aligned

At the farm, Alice and Stanislas gradually discover the little notes that Hortense left them in hidden spots.

Later, as she makes jam, Angèle opens the powdered sugar box and finds a note she believes Stanislas wrote: “Our meeting was written in the stars.” Moved, she sends him heart emojis via message.

A bit later, Angèle and Stanislas meet at the Economat. They take the chance to kiss out of sight, feeling like teenagers and admitting to each other that they haven’t felt this way in a long time. Stanislas shares that he hadn’t been with someone for 7 months. He feels a bit embarrassed to learn that Angèle hadn’t been with anyone since her divorce four years earlier.

Coline Refuses to Cook Horse Meat

At the Workshop, Chef Guinot has the students working with lamb. She particularly praises Coline and Léonard for their dish, and informs the students they will continue to work with meat in their upcoming classes. Spotting a book on his workstation, Léonard can’t help but peek to guess the topic of their next class. He discovers a recipe for horse tenderloin.

Shocked, Coline explains to Léonard and Mattéo that it’s unthinkable for her to cook horse meat. She grew up with these animals, finding them intelligent and sensitive. Léonard, meanwhile, does not share the same sentiment. To change his mind, Coline takes him to see the two retired horses her mother took in at the farm. Léonard grows fond of the animal.

Back at the Institute, Coline and Léonard tell Chef Guinot that they cannot work with horse meat. The chef clears up the misunderstanding as she originally intended to have them work with beef tongue. However, she ultimately decides to have them work with horse meat.
