The series will delve into “the ruthless, no-holds-barred world of sports“. These are Netflix’s words about its new adaptation: Myron Bolitar. Based on Harlan Coben’s longest book series, which spans twelve volumes, this show, created by David E. Kelley (known for the hit Big Little Lies), has just revealed part of its cast…

This Riverdale Actor Joins the Cast of Myron Bolitar

Good news for Riverdale fans. Actor K.J. Apa, who plays Archie Andrews on the show, will play one of the principal roles in the new Netflix adaptation of Harlan Coben’s work. The 29-year-old actor will portray Win Lockwood, the loyal partner of Myron Bolitar. Coming from a wealthy family, this character has chosen to forge his own path by starting his own business alongside his friend.

According to journalists from Variety, Win Lockwood is a young man “unflappable, endlessly inventive, and fiercely loyal, and it’s to him that Myron turns when his clients are in trouble“.

Meanwhile, Myron Bolitar will be played on screen by Colin Woodell (I Love America). The series is expected to also feature Diane Guerrero (Orange Is the New Black), who will play Esperanza Diaz, a former professional wrestler turned close collaborator of Myron. These are indeed faces that series enthusiasts will recognize.

What is This Series About?

Inspired by Harlan Coben’s renowned book series, Myron Bolitar follows a former professional athlete forced to end his career due to a severe injury: a complete patellar fracture and torn ligaments. Now a sports agent, he uses his keen observation skills, intelligence, and charm to serve his clients in an industry where stakes often transcend mere sports.

Harlan Coben himself will work on this series produced by the director of Big Little Lies. It’s no surprise that the successful writer sees his creation adapted for the screen. Indeed, introduced over 31 years ago in the novel Rupture, the character of Myron Bolitar has, over time, become the favorite of his creator. Understandably, this means there’s considerable pressure on Netflix…

Myron Bolitar is coming soon to the streaming platform.
